Friday Exhale
All Is Never Lost
I thought I had lost something I couldn’t replace.
Yesterday, I thought I lost something near and dear to me.
Something of value.
I looked.
And I looked.
And to no avail.
Then, I paused.
I asked the Universe, as I know it, for help.
I wrote.
And somewhere in the writing, the fog began to clear. My thoughts slowed. I could see beyond the anxious feelings of lost and begin to think about where found might be.
I continued my plea for help.
And in a short time, what I thought was lost appeared.
Not miraculously.
But with clarity.
It had been there all along.
Sometimes, when we think all is lost, we search harder. We move faster. We retrace the same steps, looking in the same places, with the same frantic eyes.
Maybe what we need instead is to pause.
To clear our minds.
To ask for help.
To make enough quiet for clarity to find us.
The answers may already be there.
Waiting for us to see them.
What might become clearer if you stopped searching for a moment?
This is our exhale.
This cover helped me feel like this was exactly what I was looking for!
