Friday Exhale
When the world reminds us to breathe
The trees wave, the birds sing, and the weekend invites us to exhale.
There is energy in the air.
The trees are waving.
The birds are singing.
The chimes are ringing.
It is calling, calling us toward the weekend.
A gentle reminder
to step outside,
to breathe a little deeper,
to notice what has been there all along.
To love more.
To smile wider.
To be kinder.
With yourself.
With others.
With nature.
To nurture this time.
To rest.
To pause.
To dance.
To sing.
To celebrate.
The week loosens its grip.
The noise softens.
And something inside us begins to settle.
Maybe we are settling back
into who we truly are.
Peace.
Joy.
Love.
This is my exhale.
This sounds like a musical prayer to me. I was listening to this before I wrote this and thought you may appreciate hearing The Stable Song, by Gregory Alan Isakov with the Colorado Symphony.
